David Cobbald is an experienced LDI Portfolio Manager and Strategic Asset Allocation professional, currently working at Pension Protection Fund since April 2014. Prior to this, David worked at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as an Executive Director in Fixed Income Derivatives, and at Royal Bank of Scotland in UK FI Structured Solutions. With a background in International Securities, Investment & Banking, David holds an MSc from ICMA Centre and a BSc in Business Administration from Cardiff University.

If a pension scheme’s employer becomes insolvent, and they can’t afford to pay their members their promised pensions, we’ll compensate them financially for the money they’ve lost. As a public corporation we manage £32 billion assets on behalf of our 249,000 members and it’s our mission is to pay the right people, the right amount at the right time.
