Rebecca Gleave is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in internal communications and public relations. Currently serving as the Internal Communications Manager at the Pension Protection Fund since November 2022, Rebecca previously held the position of Internal Communications and Business Support Manager at the UK Home Office, managing diverse communication materials for a large workforce. Earlier roles include Account Executive positions at Nelson Bostock and Garnett Keeler Public Relations Limited, where responsibilities encompassed media relations, social media management, and client communications for notable brands. Rebecca has also worked as a Social Media Manager, Marketing and Outreach Assistant, and participated in student-run public relations activities, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in communication strategies. A graduate of the University of Lincoln with a degree in Public Relations, Rebecca has developed a well-rounded expertise in the communications sector since starting in 2015.

We protect millions of people throughout the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. If a pension scheme’s employer becomes insolvent, and they can’t afford to pay their members their promised pensions, we’ll compensate them financially for the money they’ve lost. As a public corporation we manage £32 billion assets on behalf of our 249,000 members and it’s our mission is to pay the right people, the right amount at the right time.
