Richard Pain currently holds the position of Investment Controlling & Reporting Manager at Pension Protection Fund since February 2020. Previously, Richard served as Senior Manager Pension Audit at Grant Thornton UK LLP from March 2017 to February 2020 and as Senior Pensions Audit Manager at Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP from March 2007 to February 2017. Earlier in Richard's career, roles included Audit Manager at Baker Tilly from 1997 to 2007 and Pension Scheme Administrator at NPI from 1993 to 1997. Richard's educational background includes a Master of Science in Environmental Pollution Control from the University of Leeds (1992-1993) and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geochemistry from Royal Holloway, University of London (1988-1991), complemented by schooling at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys (1981-1988).
