Stuart Benham is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in financial reporting and management within the pension sector. Currently serving as Financial Reporting Manager at the Pension Protection Fund since January 2017, Stuart has previously held significant roles at RBS from January 2008 to January 2017, including Head of Finance - Pension Services, where Stuart oversaw financial operations for a substantial Defined Benefits Scheme. Prior experience includes positions at Aon Hewitt as Accounts Supervisor in Pensions Finance & Accounts and a contract role as Management Accountant at Spring Education Limited. Stuart holds an Associate Diploma of Business (Accounting) from Brisbane Institute of TAFE and a Senior Certificate from Anglican Church Grammar School.

If a pension scheme’s employer becomes insolvent, and they can’t afford to pay their members their promised pensions, we’ll compensate them financially for the money they’ve lost.
