The Board of Pensions
Peter T. Maher, CFA has a wealth of experience in the finance industry. Peter is currently the Managing Director and Vice President of Investments at The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) since January 2021. Before that, they held various positions at the same company, including Director, Assistant Director, and Analyst from July 2008 to December 2020.
Aside from their work at The Board of Pensions, Maher also served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Thomas Jefferson University from January 2013 to December 2019 and as a CFA Exam Prep Instructor at Kaplan Test Prep from January 2012 to December 2019.
Maher's previous experience includes working as a Part-Time Lecturer in Finance at Rutgers University from September 2009 to August 2013, Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Equity Analyst at Pitcairn Financial Group from November 2005 to January 2008, and Vice President, Equity Analyst, Research Associate, and Trader at The Bryn Mawr Trust Company from October 1999 to November 2005.
Peter began their career as a Fixed Income Associate at Vanguard, where they worked from 1997 to 1999. These experiences highlight Maher's diverse knowledge and expertise in the finance industry.
Peter T. Maher, CFA, holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph's University, which they completed between 2000 and 2002. Prior to their M.B.A., Maher obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Saint Joseph's University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Maher is also a CFA Charterholder, certified by the CFA Institute. The specific date of when Maher obtained their CFA Charterholder certification is not provided.
