Wayne Tan

Sr. Manager of Products Engineering at Pentagon Technologies

Wayne Tan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Wayne started their career at ESDA in 1995 as a BoDer. Wayne then moved on to AMD in 1983, where they held the role of Sr. Member of Technical Staff. At AMD, they took on responsibilities such as ESD Co-ordinator and Quality Engineering. Wayne implemented ISO-9000 and QS-9000 for the Memory Division. From 2003 to 2005, Wayne served as the President of Wenvy Technologies, where they provided static control consulting and distributed static control, packaging, and cleanroom materials. Wayne also manufactured conductive polyurethane foam for ESD-protective packaging. Wayne joined Medtronics in 2005 as a Principal Engineer. Later that year, they transitioned to Western Digital Corp, where they served as Sr. Staff Engineer with worldwide responsibility for ESD control in Wafer Fab and Drive Manufacturing. Wayne also served as the Contamination Control Monitor for the Pilot Manufacturing Line in San Jose, CA. Finally, Wayne joined Pentagon Technologies in 2016 as the Sr. Manager of Products Engineering.

Wayne Tan completed their high school education from Trung Hoc Cong Lap Chu Van An Sai Gon, earning a diploma in Natural Science (A) between 1964 and 1971. Wayne further pursued their studies at Santa Clara University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in EE/CS from 1982 to 1984.
