Christopher Pettengell's work experience starts in 2009 when they worked as a Foundation Doctor at North West London NHS until 2011. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Surgical Resident at The London Deanery, where they ranked in the top decile for the Surgical In-Training Evaluation Exam.

In 2014, Pettengell joined Imperial College London as a Clinical Research Fellow. During their time there, they conducted various quantitative and qualitative studies to assess outcome measures and identify patient safety incidents. Christopher also led a patient-centered co-design project to develop a mobile application for patient engagement.

In 2018, Pettengell took on multiple roles simultaneously. Christopher became a Co-Founder of Halo Health, a network of entrepreneurial MDs offering advisory, connection, and investment services for healthcare-related ventures. Additionally, they joined Pentavere as a Medical Director, and in December 2019, they were promoted to the position of Chief Medical Officer.

Christopher Pettengell attended the University of Oxford from 2004 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physiology, General. Christopher then pursued further education at the University of Toronto from 2005 to 2006, specializing in Microbiology and Immunology. Christopher Pettengell returned to the University of Oxford and completed their education from 2002 to 2009, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a focus on Medicine.
