Phillip Howell has a wealth of experience in the IT and communications industries. Phillip began their career in 2006 with the Royal Australian Navy, where they served as an Australian Defence Force and Tactical Operations sailor. In 2009, they worked as an RH-FIE Able Seamen LAN Administrator on HMAS Newcastle. In 2017, they became a Network Engineer at Telstra and in 2018, they were a Technical Support Engineer at Broadcom Inc. Currently, they are an IT Operations Service Lead at Penten, where their responsibilities include coordinating the daily operations of the 24x7 team, communicating important information to users and client service teams, and providing technical support for the daily operations of the client information systems.
Phillip Howell's education history includes graduating from Nhulunbuy High School with a Year 12 degree in 2005. In 2016, they completed a Diploma of Information Technology Networking from Upskilled. Phillip is currently enrolled in Linux Academy and is expected to obtain ITIL Foundation Level certification from DDLS in September 2022. Additionally, they have obtained or is in the process of obtaining Certificates II, III, and IV in Information and Technology, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and an ITIL Foundation Certificate in Service Management.
