Derrick Curry

Derrick Curry began their career in 2000 as an Interactive Designer at Park City Solutions. In 2001 they joined TechOne Media, Inc. as Lead Developer, where they managed web development projects, architected and developed a LAMP based content management system, and managed the company's Sun Solaris servers. In 2005 they moved to Communifax as Senior .NET Developer, where they developed and supported promotional micro websites and led a data migration project for Sheetz. In 2006 they took on a Freelance Developer role at Ripple Effects Interactive. In 2008 they became Director, Product Development at Jambo Media LLC, where they oversaw planning and development of all video products, architected and developed an online video solution, and worked with over 20 outside advertising vendors. In 2010 they joined Celerity as Senior Web Developer, where they served as development lead on a team of seven Flex/Flash developers and was a member of the architecture team. In 2013 they became Engineering Manager and Client Architect at WeSpeke, where they were in charge of the day to day management of the engineering team and worked with the executive management and product teams to provide risk and time estimation for engineering projects. In 2016 they worked as a Photographer at Vivid Zoom Photography. Finally, in 2017 they joined Penthera as Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer.

Derrick Curry attended The Art Institutes from 1997 to 2000 and obtained an Associates degree in Multimedia Design.
