Deepak Kapoor

Deepak Kapoor has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Deepak currently holds the position of Director of Strategic Sourcing at Penumbra, Inc. since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at the same company from August 2021 to November 2022.

Before joining Penumbra, Inc., Deepak worked at ADMEDES as the Director of Engineering and Production from June 2019 to August 2021. Deepak also held the position of Director of Engineering from September 2018 to May 2019.

Deepak's career began at Johnson Matthey in 2001, where they held multiple roles. Deepak served as a Product Manager from May 2016 to September 2018, Technology Specialist from November 2013 to April 2016, Production Manager from February 2002 to October 2013, and Process Engineer from October 2001 to February 2002.

Prior to their time at Johnson Matthey, Deepak worked as a Business Analyst at PRTM Management Consultants from 2000 to 2001 and as a Manufacturing Engineer at Elo TouchSystems from 1997 to 2000.

Deepak Kapoor, CPIM, CSCP, LSSGB, completed their education in Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they obtained a Master's degree from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, graduating in 1995. In addition to their educational background, Deepak Kapoor has also obtained several certifications including Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS - The Association for Operations Management in 1999. Deepak is also a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from the same institution. Deepak Kapoor has further enhanced their professional qualifications by earning a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Purdue University.
