Sheng Saechao

Principal Clinical Systems Analyst at Penumbra

Sheng Saechao has a strong background in the field of clinical research and data analysis. They started their career as a Computer Consultant at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2001 and later became a Technical Support Specialist at Alpha Innotech, Inc. In this role, they were responsible for providing global technical support for gel-imaging systems and also developed and sold on-site field support services.

Afterwards, Saechao joined IO Informatics, Inc. as a Field Application Specialist, where they worked from 2005 to 2007. In this role, they provided technical support and assistance to academic and industry bench scientists.

From 2007 to 2012, Saechao worked as a Clinical Programmer at Nextrials, Inc. During this time, they gained experience in clinical data management and analysis.

Saechao then joined PAREXEL in 2012, where they worked as a Senior Programmer, Data Standards. In this position, they led efforts to ensure clinical studies were built to client data standards and developed a client-specific global library in Datalabs EDC.

In 2015, Saechao moved to Celerion as an EDC Database Developer, where they worked until 2018. In this role, they specialized in developing electronic data capture databases.

Currently, Saechao is working at Penumbra, Inc. as a Principal Clinical Systems Analyst, a position they have held since 2018.

Sheng Saechao completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, Sheng obtained a certification in Ambra Academy Level 1 from Ambra Health in January 2020.
