Marcella Simons

Marcella Simons has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Marcella is currently serving as the Director of the People for People Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals seeking safety and asylum in the Netherlands. Prior to this, Marcella founded Gula Vision, a company that sells fashionable sunglass cords. Marcella also worked as an Innovation Manager and Founder at ABN AMRO Bank, where they developed and implemented an innovative approach called DARE. Moreover, Marcella has experience as a UX Designer, Innovation Coach, and Product Owner through their own company, Marcellous. Marcella has also founded an app called My Favorite Restaurants, aimed at helping users find quality dining spots based on recommendations from friends. Earlier in their career, Marcella worked as an Art Director at IRS Full Service Advertising Agency, coordinated projects and organized events, and introduced the Agile framework. Marcella also served as a Graphic Designer at companies such as Mconomy and HMB Profit Tools, and worked as a freelance Graphic Designer and social media expert for companies like Buutvrij for life and Bureau Nijman + van Haaster. Marcella Simons has a diverse education history. From 2009 to 2011, they attended Inholland University of Applied Sciences and obtained a degree in AD Crossmedial Communication. Marcella'sfield of study during this time included crossmedia, communication, and social media. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2009, Marcella studied at Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht where they earned a degree in Graphic Design. Marcella'sstudies focused on Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photography. Furthermore, Marcella attended Baken Park from 1999 to 2004 and completed their HAVO degree in Cultuur & Maatschappij. In addition to their formal education, Marcella has obtained several certifications. Marcella achieved proficiency in Business English at level C1 through assessment at The Square Mile in June 2022. In January 2022, they obtained a certification in DISC from DISC Factory®. Moreover, in March 2019, Marcella became certified in the Executive school: This is Service Design Doing from DesignThinkers Academy. In September 2018, they received the certification of Certified SUE Behavioural Designer from SUE Behavioural Design Academy. Furthermore, Marcella holds certifications from Your Lab, Scrum.org, and Scrum.org in the areas of Professional Scrum Master I, Professional Scrum Product Owner I, and Your Lab, respectively.
