Mani Kumar

Mani Kumar is an accomplished Country Director with extensive experience in humanitarian and development programs across South Asia. Currently serving as Country Director for Myanmar at People in Need since August 2023, Mani previously held the same position at Christian Aid from August 2018 to August 2023, where responsibilities included leadership in program strategy and fundraising initiatives in Nepal. Prior to this, Mani was the Head of Programme at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (DanChurchAid) for nearly a decade, overseeing country programs, design strategies, and donor relations. Early in the career at Oxfam GB, Mani coordinated disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response initiatives in East India. Mani Kumar holds a postgraduate degree in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service and a bachelor's in Geology from St. Xaviers College Ranchi.
