Donnie Poindexter

Donnie Poindexter has a long work experience in the field of technology. Donnie started their career in 1996 as a Biomedical Systems Technician at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center. In 2000, they worked as a Systems Technician at Cooper Clinic, P.A. In 2004, they joined People Inc. of Sequoyah County, where they held various roles such as Chief of Staff, Director of Information Technology, Director of Youth & Family Services, and IT Manager. As Chief of Staff, they were responsible for assuring that the agenda of the CEO was supported and carried out throughout the organization, supervising the management team, and overseeing operations of over 250 personnel. As Director of Information Technology, they collaborated with the management team to determine problem areas and research and implement appropriate technology solutions. As Director of Youth & Family Services, they were responsible for monitoring of and compliance with state contracts and guidelines pertaining to Youth & Family Services programs, as well as general oversight of all People Inc. Youth & Family Services sites. As IT Manager, they functioned as a "working manager" in the operations of People Inc.'s technology systems.

Donnie Poindexter attended Sallisaw High School from 1989 to 1992. Donnie then went on to the University of Arkansas Ft. Smith from 1994 to 1997, where they earned an AAS in Electronics Technology. After that, they attended Mid-America Christian University from 2013 to 2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management. Donnie also holds certifications from CompTIA in Network + (obtained in August 2017) and Security + (obtained in August 2015).
