Nancy Palumbo, SPHR, is chief administrative officer for People Inc., a leading not-for-profit health and human services agency providing programs and services to more than 12,000 people with special needs, their families, and seniors throughout Western New York. With an operating budget of $143 million and nearly 4,000 employees, People Inc. has assisted individuals to achieve greater degrees of independence and productivity since 1971. Palumbo joined People Inc. in 1998 after working for the SUNY Research Foundation where she conducted training/technical assistance programs for the public and private sector. As chief administrative officer, she has oversight of the agency’s Training, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Compliance, Quality Improvement and Facilities Management departments. She also oversees the Museum of disABILITY History.
Active in the community, Palumbo serves on the board of directors of Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Buffalo, Inc. where she is secretary of the board as well as chair of the Nominating Committee, and serves on the advisory board of Bryant & Stratton College’s Health Services Administration Program.
Palumbo is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Organizational Development Network. She is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Buffalo.
Palumbo received a bachelor’s degree in organizational development from the University at Buffalo and a master’s degree in organizational development from Canisius College.
