Kelli Smith

Kelli Smith has a strong background in planning, evaluation, and program management. Kelli most recently held the position of Vice President of Planning and Evaluation at People Incorporated of Virginia, where they have been working since August 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Planning and Evaluation at the same company from April 2017 to August 2021.

Before joining People Incorporated of Virginia, Kelli worked as a Policy Analyst at Friends of Southwest Virginia from January 2016 to April 2017. Kelli also has experience in program evaluation and management, having served as the Program Evaluation Manager at Goodwill Industries of Denver from March 2015 to January 2016, and as the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator at the same organization from August 2014 to March 2015.

Kelli's experience also includes a brief period as an External Evaluator for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program at the Colorado Department of Education from July 2014 to September 2014.

In addition, Kelli has academic experience as a Graduate Assistant at East Tennessee State University from August 2012 to May 2014. In this role, they conducted research, organized focus groups, assisted with survey design, and taught a course on Introduction to Sociology. Kelli also designed a survey to gather information on the experiences and attitudes of students who had dropped out of the university.

Kelli's career started at Crisis Center, Inc., where they worked as a Community Outreach/Victim Advocacy from July 2011 to May 2012. In this role, they provided education and awareness activities related to sexual assault and coordinated with other community organizations on awareness campaigns.

Kelli Smith pursued their education in sociology, starting at Emory and Henry College from 2007 to 2011. Kelli completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree during this time. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they attended East Tennessee State University, earning their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Sociology.
