Heidi Maher is an experienced professional in workforce capability and talent management, currently serving as Assistant Director Workforce Capability at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet since March 2023. Previously, Heidi held various roles in the same department, including Acting Director Workforce Capability and Assistant Director Entry Level Programs. Prior experience includes serving as Acting Director Talent and Capability at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, as well as multiple leadership positions at Comcare, where responsibilities included Change Management and overseeing the Decentralisation Project. Additionally, Heidi has served as Program Director at Executive Intelligence Group and as Deputy Director at the Department of Defence of Australia. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Communication in Public Relations from the University of Canberra and a Master of Management with a focus on Human Resources Development from the University of Southern Queensland, along with certification from Prosci.
