Erin Mies

Erin Mies, SHRM-SCP, MHRIR, is an accomplished HR professional and educator with extensive experience in human resources and career coaching. As Co-Founder of People Spark Consulting since October 2018, Erin assists small and mid-sized businesses in agriculture and food to enhance their operations through effective HR solutions. Additionally, Erin owns Light Your Way Coaching LLC, focusing on guiding clients through career transitions. In academia, Erin serves as an Adjunct Instructor and Career Consultant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, teaching on change management and supporting online HR students. Previous roles include Senior Human Resources Leader at Land O'Lakes, where Erin oversaw HR efforts for a team of over 600 employees, and various positions at General Mills, culminating in university recruitment management. Erin holds a Master's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Music from Wittenberg University.
