Brent Saunders

Brent Saunders has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and management. Brent currently holds the position of Big Data Engineer at Enformion and PeopleFinders, where they work with Apache Spark/Scala on large datasets and performs ETL tasks using Hive. Prior to this, they served as a Data Engineer at VideoAmp, maintaining and updating a codebase used for reporting commercial viewership data. Brent also worked as a Manager, DP and Coding/Data Engineer at Ipsos in North America, overseeing global data collection operations and developing processes for managing large datasets. Earlier in their career, Brent held roles as a Senior Software Engineer at UNICOM Global and as a Senior Data Processing Engineer at J.D. Power. Brent started their career as a Quantum Programmer at OTX Research and Pine, where they tabulated market research data using various software tools and also performed Linux sysadmin tasks. Brent Saunders completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from San Francisco State University, where they studied from 1980 to 1987. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology, specializing in the field of Information Systems, which they obtained from California Lutheran University from 2015 to 2017.
