Michelle Powell

Michelle Powell, MBA, currently serves as the Financial Controller at PeopleFund since August 2024. Previously, Michelle held the position of Director of Accounting / Controller at Marbridge from May 2018 to August 2024, overseeing accounting, finance, and administration for multiple assisted living and skilled nursing facilities serving 265 intellectually disabled residents. Prior experience includes roles in reimbursement and accounting at the Department of Aging & Disability Services in Texas from September 2007 to May 2018, and working as a Shift Supervisor at Web Transaction Services from 2004 to 2006. Michelle Powell holds a Master of Business Administration from East Texas A&M University, with a focus on Accounting and Business/Management, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration at Walden University. Additional educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business/Management from East Texas A&M University and studies at Navarro College and Austin Community College.
