Gennie Gebhart

Gennie Gebhart currently serves as the Managing Director of Technology at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a role held since August 2016, and has previously held positions at EFF including Advocacy Director, Associate Director of Research, and Researcher. In addition to EFF, Gennie Gebhart is an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington's Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering since January 2023. Gennie Gebhart gained experience as an Impact Fellow at Samasource and completed an internship with IREX in the Beyond Access program. Earlier research included a tenure as a Luce Scholar with independent research at Chiang Mai University Library. Gennie Gebhart holds a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Economics, both from the University of Washington.
