Jordan Davis is an account manager at Peoples Broadband. Jordan previously worked as a design engineering intern at Intel Corporation from June 2017 to September 2017. There, they designed and developed a latency tracking system in electrical memory interface. Jordan also implemented a system to accept custom instructions into the memory interface for realistic system analysis using recorded user data.
Jordan Davis attended UC San Diego from 2014 to 2020, where they earned their degree in Electrical Engineering. As an undergraduate researcher in 2013, they created and characterized a hybrid III/V Si laser using a commercially available RSOA and silicon photonic chip. Jordan also designed, fabricated, and tested silicon photonic mode converters for mode division multiplexing. In their graduate studies, they simulated active multimode devices using Lumerical and collaborated with Sandia National Lab to fabricate chips. Jordan also increased the photolithography resolution of waveguide gratings at Sandia National Lab to decrease design footprint. Additionally, they enhanced nonlinear material properties of gallium nitride waveguides through fabrication methods. Jordan delivered two oral presentations at the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) and 3 poster presentations.
Jordan Davis received their high school diploma from Dayton Early College Academy. Jordan then went on to Cornell University where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical & Computer Engineering - Photonics at UC San Diego.
