Sampath Jayasundara completed a BSc in Physical Science from the University of Colombo from 1996 to 1999. Sampath then pursued a PG Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Colombo from 2002 to 2003. Later, they obtained an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, they have a certification in People Analytics: Transforming HR Strategy with Data Science from the University of Cambridge, which was obtained in 2023. Sampath Jayasundara also attended Royal College, Colombo from 1985 to 1993, though specific degrees or fields of study were not provided for this period.
