Paloma Thombley

Paloma Thombley is an experienced human resources professional with a strong background in leading People and Talent functions across various organizations. Currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer and Advisor at Handshake since June 2019, Paloma has successfully built a comprehensive HRBP function and scaled HR operations during a period of significant growth. Prior roles include oversight of global People Experience at the Wikimedia Foundation and leadership in People Operations at Nuna Inc., where Paloma was instrumental in developing core HR processes amid rapid expansion. Additional experience includes managing international benefits at Qualcomm and recruitment coordination at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Paloma holds a degree from UC San Diego and has participated in various projects related to HRIS and global policy implementation.
