Vijay Rao

Vijay Rao is currently an advisor at PeopleTech Partners, but they have held many other positions in the past. Vijay was previously the global head of people operations at Facebook from January 2011 to September 2019. In this role, they oversaw the strategy and execution of the "peeps" team, which was responsible for HR operations and global business services. Vijay also drove the strategy and delivery of the company intranet, which was used by all employees.

Before Facebook, Rao was with the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) where they were a speaker at the Shared Services Week from 2014-16. Vijay was also a speaker at the 13th annual Conference Board HR Conference.

Rao's previous company was XP Health, where they served as an advisor representing Okta on the JVS Tech Leadership Council focused on DIB efforts thru workforce development programs.

Vijay Rao has a Bachelor of Arts in Vijay'story from Brandeis University. Vijay also has a Certificate in Human Resources from Bentley University. In addition, they are certified by the Human Capital Institute as a Human Capital Strategist, by Microsoft as a Six Sigma Green Belt, and by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional. Finally, they have the Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

They work with Matt Hoffman - New York City Advisor Network Lead, Angela Rao - Advisor, and Randy Knaflic - Advisor. Vijay Rao reports to Cara Brennan Allamano, Founding Partner.
