Scott Sorrel

Scott Sorrel has served in various key positions within the County of Peoria since October 1993, currently holding the title of County Administrator, where responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of policy directives and daily operations for a full-service county government. Previous roles include Assistant County Administrator and Assistant to the County Administrator, where Scott managed planning, zoning, public works, and special projects. Scott also held interim positions as CFO and Budget Director, contributing to financial oversight and budget preparation. Earlier career experiences include serving as Deputy Director of Planning & Zoning and Senior Planner, where Scott achieved significant successes in land use planning and regulatory enforcement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Community & Regional Planning from Iowa State University.
