LaDonna J. Gordon, M.A., possesses extensive experience in animal care, donor relations, and customer experience, currently serving as a Data Specialist for Peoria Zoo and a Donor Relations Coordinator at Wildlife Prairie Park. With a background in animal training and sitting as a self-employed professional since 2004, LaDonna has also held various roles at The Farmer's Dog, including Retention and CRM Associate, and was instrumental at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where LaDonna significantly reduced animal mortality rates. Previous experience includes supervising staff at PANDRILLUS FOUNDATION USA, and roles in housekeeping, tutoring, and as a paraprofessional. LaDonna holds a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University, complementing a strong foundation in wildlife and education.

The Peoria Park District (formal name: The Pleasure Driveway and Park District of Peoria) was organized in 1894 and was the first park system formed in Illinois. Our mission: We contribute to healthy and vibrant communities by responsibly using our resources to offer high quality parks, recreation, and education experiences to those who live, work, or play in our District. We will be responsible stewards of all District resources. We will focus on services that make the greatest impact.
