Jennifer Jacobsen-Wood has extensive experience in library services, technical services, and database administration. Jennifer has held positions such as Manager of Technical Services at Peoria Public Library, Branch Manager at Alpha Park Public Library, and Marketing and Publicity Associate at Lillie M. Evans Library. Jennifer also worked as a Reference Librarian at Galesburg Public Library. Jennifer holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Western Illinois University.

The Peoria Public Library, founded in 1880, is a tax-funded library system serving the city of Peoria, Illinois. A recent $28 million building program created a state-of-the-art library system including five completely renovated or newly-constructed library branch locations. A Bookmobile and Outreach Services provide services to those unable to go to a library location.
