Jim Richerson

Jim Richerson has extensive experience in museum leadership, currently serving as President & CEO of the Peoria Riverfront Museum since 2010, where involvement in a partnership with Caterpillar Inc. helped establish a significant cultural and corporate venue in downtown Peoria, IL. Prior to this role, Jim was President & CEO of Lakeview Museum of Arts & Sciences from 2000 to 2010, during which time the museum underwent successful reaccreditation twice and enhanced its fine arts profile by attracting prestigious collections and artists. Additionally, Jim has experience as a Museum Planner in Carthage, Tunisia, from 1984 to 1994. Jim's educational background includes a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School and a BA in Art History from Coe College.
