Tesfa Negash

Tesfa Negash, CPA has over 30 years of work experience, starting in 1987 as an entry-level accountant at Aggregate Management, Inc. Tesfa progressed to become the Controller, managing a team of four employees and overseeing various accounting activities such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, credits, and collections.

In 2000, Tesfa joined Pepco Energy Services as the Manager of Accounting for their Retail Electric business. Tesfa was later promoted to Director of Accounting, where they managed the accounting for multiple business units, including Retail Gas Supply, Power Generation, Thermal, and ESCO. In these roles, they were responsible for day-to-day financial processes, such as monthly close activities, preparation of financial statements, settlement of wholesale electricity and gas transactions, accounts payable, billing, and reconciliation of complex transactions.

Tesfa's experience also includes reviewing journal entries and GL account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items, and managing teams of employees. Throughout their career, they have consistently demonstrated expertise and leadership in financial management and accounting.

Tesfa Negash, CPA completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at SUNY Brockport from 1984 to 1986. Tesfa further pursued higher education and obtained their Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance from Johns Hopkins University between 1997 and 2000.
