Afsaneh Mohebbi

Afsaneh Mohebbi is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in therapeutic drug development, currently serving as Senior VP and Head of Portfolio & Program Management at PepGen since June 2024. Prior to this role, Afsaneh founded Damavand Consulting, LLC, where expertise was provided in R&D strategy, virtual team management, pre-launch activities, and regulatory landscapes for rare diseases and oncology from June 2018 to June 2024. Afsaneh also held positions such as Vice President at Agios Pharmaceuticals, leading product development for rare genetic diseases, and as Head of Program and Alliance Management at BIND Therapeutics, where Afsaneh established the management function. Academic involvement includes serving as a lecturer at Northeastern University, teaching drug development within the Biotechnology Masters program. Afsaneh's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry from UC Irvine.
