Andrew Smith has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Andrew began their career at PwC as a Manager in Taxation Advisory from 1994 to 1998. Andrew then worked at Bankers Trust as a Senior Manager from 1998 to 1999. Andrew joined Macquarie Bank Limited in 1999 as an Associate Director in Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities, where they established the international business operating structure and managed tax planning. Andrew also played a key role in establishing a successful hedge fund of funds investment management business. At Macquarie Group, Andrew held various roles, including Division Director in Treasury & Commodities Group, where they traded and invested in fixed income and undertook currency and commodity transactions. Andrew also served as Division Director in Group Treasury - Transactions Division and Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities, where they executed transactions to enhance Macquarie's funding, capital position, and operating structure. Andrew joined Pepper Australia in 2013 as a Senior Consultant and later became Group Company Secretary, General Counsel, and Head of Tax at Pepper Financial Services Group before assuming their current role as the Group Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary.

Andrew Smith pursued their education from 1987 to 1993. Andrew attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW) for their bachelor's degree in Law, completing it in 1993. During the same period, they also obtained a bachelor's degree in Commerce from UNSW, specializing in Accounting and Finance, which they completed in 1990.
