Jay Brewster

Jay Brewster has an extensive academic career, currently serving as Provost and Professor of Biology at Pepperdine University since August 1997. Previously, Jay held the position of Divisional Dean of Natural Sciences and has also been a Professor of Biology at the same institution. Prior experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the McLaughlin Research Institute for Biomedical Science and Transgenics Incorporated from 1993 to 1997. Jay Brewster earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Science Education from Lubbock Christian University, in addition to an Associate of Science (A.S.) in General Biology from York University - Nebraska.
