Peta Stead

Peta Stead is an experienced regulatory consultant and legal expert specializing in financial services, particularly in the Contracts for Difference (CFD) and margin foreign exchange sectors. Currently serving as the Group Head of Regulatory Affairs and Group Regulatory Consultant at Pepperstone since September 2018, Peta manages relations with regulators and oversees compliance frameworks. Peta is also the founder and Senior Regulatory Advisor at CISA Consulting Pty Ltd, offering regulatory insights on complex financial products, and holds a director position at the Australian CFD and Margin FX Association. Previous roles include Senior Lawyer at ASIC, where Peta engaged in oversight of retail derivatives, and a legal background with Minter Ellison. Peta holds a first-class Honours Law degree and has extensive experience in science communication, having worked with organizations such as Questacon and Banksia Productions.
