Tara Glasgow is Executive Vice President and Chief Science Officer for PepsiCo.
Tara leads the global Research and Development (R&D) organization at PepsiCo with a bold vision for innovation, scientific excellence, and transformative growth. As head of R&D, she drives strategic global innovation for PepsiCo’s food and beverage portfolio, working to ensure the highest standards in food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Tara’s visionary leadership guides the future of PepsiCo products, championing sustainability through cross-functional collaboration and overseeing future-focused initiatives including portfolio transformation.
Tara joined PepsiCo in 2022 as Senior Vice President of Global Beverages R&D, accelerating the transformation of the global beverages portfolio by reinventing the conventional innovation model. She helped revitalize the product pipeline by leading with a deep understanding of human needs to solve. This approach prioritized foundational principles of performance and functionality, resulting in scientifically advanced solutions.
With nearly three decades of experience across the CPG industry in consumer health, nutrition, personal care, and beverages, Tara has a proven track record of combining human and scientific insights to drive growth. Previously, Tara led R&D for Reckitt’s Health and Nutrition businesses, guiding global brands such as Enfamil®, Mucinex®, Neuriva® and Dettol®. While at Reckitt, Tara shaped the innovation strategy that revived the product pipeline with superior offerings. In addition, she focused on continuity of supply through Covid-19, helping the team react nimbly to regulatory and raw material challenges to maintain product availability.
Prior to Reckitt, Tara spent more than 20 years at Johnson & Johnson spearheading global category development for iconic brands in the Consumer and Medical Device Sectors including Listerine®, Aveeno®, Ethicon® sutures, and Johnson’s®. Tara led the team to reimagine, reformulate, and restage multiple brands to drive new standards of care, reinvigorate portfolios, and drive growth.
Tara received her Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from Philadelphia University and her Master of Science in Materials Engineering from Drexel University.
Tara is based in Purchase and Valhalla, NY.
