Senior Software Engineer at Pequity

Mohamed Anwer's work experience begins in 2016 when they worked as a Software Development Engineer at Mentor Graphics. Mohamed held this role until 2021 when they became a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Homebase. In 2022, they joined Pequity as a Senior Software Engineer.

In addition to their professional positions, Mohamed has also been involved in various mentorship roles with Google. In 2016, they mentored a project for the Google Summer of Code program. In 2017, they served as a mentor for two GSoC projects, and in 2018, they mentored Tarek Talaat on an open source project for KDE while working for Google.

Before working with Google and Mentor Graphics, Mohamed worked as a Web Developer at Raye7 and held various roles at IEEE Egypt Section, including IT Specialist and IT Committee Head.

Additionally, Mohamed has contributed to the KDE community as a Software Developer, working on projects related to photo editing and user interface improvements.

Mohamed Anwer obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Ain Shams University, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications such as the Google Summer of Code Mentor Appreciation in 2018, 2017, and 2016, as well as the Google Summer of Code Completion in 2015. Mohamed has also completed various online courses and certifications, including "Blasting Off with Bootstrap" from Code School in February 2015, "BootUp" from TIEC in February 2015, "Real-time Web with Node.js" from Code School in January 2015, and "Rails 4 Patterns", "Rails 4: Zombie Outlaws", "Surviving APIs with Rails", "Assembling Sass", "Git Real 2", "Rails Testing for Zombies", "Testing with RSpec", "Git Real", "Rails for Zombies 2", and "Rails for Zombies Redux" from Code School in 2014. Furthermore, they have received the "Google Summer of Code 2014 Completion" from Google in September 2014, the "Programming Cloud Services for Android Handheld Systems" certification from Coursera in September 2014, and the "IEEE Xtreme 7.0 Certificate of Participation" from IEEE in December 2013.
