Peter Yao

Peter Yao has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Peter began their career at Oracle in 1996 as a Senior Consultant, where they helped conceive and prototype Oracle's Bill Presentment and Payment solution. Peter then moved to Extricity, which was later acquired by Peregrine Systems in 2001. At Extricity, Peter served as a Consultant, Engineer, and Product Manager, where they defined Peregrine's next-generation Integration Platform and managed development teams. In 2002, Peter joined Blue Agave Software as a Technical Consultant, where they successfully implemented APM for the Department of Defense. Peter then joined EnerNOC in 2005, where they held various roles including Business Analyst, Applications Manager, and Systems Analyst. During their time at EnerNOC, Peter managed and grew the IT Applications team, supporting the company's significant growth. Most recently, Peter has been working at Perch Energy as a Principal Software Engineer since 2016.

Peter Yao received their Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing their education from 1991 to 1996.
