Steffen Heinrich

Steffen Heinrich has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the tech and automotive industry. Steffen is the founder of Peregrine Technologies GmbH, a Berlin-based tech start-up focused on building a safer and more sustainable mobility ecosystem using video analytics. Prior to this, Steffen worked at Volkswagen AG, where they played a key role in driving the digital transformation and strategy for autonomous driving across all 12 brands of the Volkswagen Group. Steffen also worked as a Motion Planning PhD Candidate at VW Group Research in Wolfsburg, Germany, where they developed a universal driving strategy approach for autonomous vehicles and supported research projects for advanced driver assistance systems. Additionally, they worked at Volkswagen Group of America, Electronics Research Lab, where they focused on software development for advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving technologies. Steffen also has experience as an Autonomous Driving Software Engineer and Technical Consultant at Automotive Safety Technologies GmbH. Steffen started their career as a Co-Founder and Software Engineer at Digital Online Games GbR. Steffen's work experience demonstrates their expertise in autonomous driving research, software development, and entrepreneurship.

Steffen Heinrich earned their Diploma in Computer Science from Freie Universität Berlin in 2012. Steffen then went on to pursue further education and completed their PhD in Computer Science from the same university in 2017.
