Chónel joined Peregrine Capital in January 2020 as a financial manager. In addition to assisting the COO with ad hoc operational projects, Chónel’s current role includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting with middle office reconciliation and settlement issues, and as a liaison between the investment team and finance where back office assistance is needed. Prior to joining Peregrine Capital, Chónel was employed at a commodity trading company as a financial accountant. Since qualifying as a CA(SA) Chónel spent 2 years in external audit as a manager and then entered commerce to work in financial management roles. Chónel qualified in 2016 after completing her articles at Deloitte & Touche.
