Lia Ofek

Lia Ofek is a seasoned professional in the biomedical engineering and healthcare sectors, currently serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of Althea Medical Ltd., an early-stage startup focused on developing catheter-based solutions for patients with pulmonary embolism since December 2020. Lia has also been a member of WE@HealthTech since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Edwards Lifesciences, where regulatory management and clinical submissions were key responsibilities, and as a System Engineer at Valtech Cardio, leading the execution of critical testing for the Cardioband valve reconstruction system. Lia's career began with significant positions in quality assurance and technical project management in various healthcare technologies. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Bio-Medical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, both from Tel Aviv University.
