Dietrich Becker

Mr. Becker is a Partner and Co-President of Perella Weinberg Partners, based in London. Mr. Becker has served as Head of PWP’s Advisory business in Europe since 2017.

Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners at the firm’s foundation in 2006, Mr. Becker served as Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Global Industrial Group and as one of the firm’s most senior German investment bankers. He began his investment banking career with Merrill Lynch in 1991.

Mr. Becker has been involved, in a leading role, in a broad range of M&A transactions involving some of Germany’s leading companies and industrial clients worldwide. His specific focus is on public market M&A transactions, raid and activist defense and the strategic transformation of industrial manufacturing companies. He frequently represents target companies in public offer situations or advises on large, complex merger transactions involving multiple jurisdictions.

Mr. Becker received a degree from Cologne University Law School and a Masters in Business Administration from New York University Stern Graduate School of Business. He serves as a member of the Executive Board of the NYU Stern School of Business.
