Christian Clanton

Christian Clanton is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in satellite imagery, geospatial analysis, and exoplanet research. Currently serving as VP of Data Science at Perennial since March 2023, Christian previously held several key positions at Orbital Insight, culminating as Sr. Director of Model Engineering, where leadership was provided to teams in developing models for object detection and statistical capabilities. Prior experience includes a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship at NASA Ames Research Center, focusing on exoplanet demographics, and a graduate research role at The Ohio State University, where methodology in synthesizing exoplanet detection data was pioneered. Education includes a Ph.D. in Astronomy and a Master's in Astronomy from The Ohio State University, complemented by a Bachelor's in Applied Physics from Caltech.
