Lead Teaching Artist + Teen Program Facilitator at Pérez Art Museum Miami

Alessa Quiroz is an experienced teaching artist currently serving as the Lead Teaching Artist and Teen Program Facilitator at the Pérez Art Museum Miami since April 2022. With a robust background in art education, Alessa has been a Teaching Artist at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art since August 2019, where responsibilities include developing lesson plans and leading workshops for diverse audiences. Prior experience includes serving as an Art Teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, managing over 200 students and crafting tailored instructional plans, as well as instructing as an Art Instructor at Bottle & Bottega Miami. Additionally, Alessa gained experience as a Set Designer for Miami Children's Theatre and worked as a Junior Docent at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. Alessa holds a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Florida International University, earned in 2017.
