Yeimi Valdes is an experienced educator currently serving as the Manager of Youth Tour Programs at Pérez Art Museum Miami since July 2021. Previously, Valdes worked as a Middle School Teacher for Social Studies at Miami-Dade County Public Schools and spent five years at Chicago Public Schools teaching Science and Reading. Valdes has also contributed as a Clinical Instructor at The University of Chicago Urban Teacher Education Program, mentoring student teachers, and has led personalized instruction for gifted students at the Summer Institute for the Gifted. Valdes's career includes developing educational programs at Adler Planetarium and serving as a docent at the Smart Museum of Art. Valdes holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the same institution.
