Akarsh Varre

Akarsh Varre is a seasoned technical expert in robotics and autonomy, currently serving as Technical Lead at PDW since January 2021, after previously holding a position as Senior Robotics Engineer at The Drone Racing League. Akarsh's academic career includes significant contributions as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on safe and optimal control of multi-drone fleets, and as a Lab Specialist where Akarsh assisted and trained students in laboratory equipment usage. Previous experiences also include MEP Coordinator at L&W Construction Pvt Ltd, a project internship at the University of Bremen, and a leadership role as Chief Coordinator for Wissenaire'15 at IIT Bhubaneswar, demonstrating a strong background in engineering and project management. Akarsh holds a Master's degree in Mechatronics and Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar.
