Matt Marzetti has significant experience in various legal roles, starting with their current position as Sr. Director, Associate General Counsel at Performance Food Group since 2020. Before transitioning to in-house counsel roles, Matt worked as an Attorney at Troutman Sanders LLP, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities, tax, and regulatory matters. Matt also advised publicly-traded companies on reporting and disclosure obligations. Prior to that, they worked as an Attorney at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, focusing on corporate and transaction matters. Matt began their legal career at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, where they represented emerging growth companies in venture capital financings and mergers and acquisitions. Matt also gained experience as an Attorney at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, working on a variety of corporate matters. Before pursuing a legal career, they worked as a Business Analyst and Consultant at American Management Systems, Inc, where they wrote requirements, performed system testing, and led client meetings.
Matt Marzetti received their JD from William & Mary Law School, where they studied law, from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the University of Virginia, completing their studies from 1997 to 2001.
