Alec Hill has a diverse work experience with a focus on engineering and research. Alec is currently working as a Sustaining Engineering Lead at Perimeter Medical Imaging AI, where they facilitate feedback from customers and manufacturing partners to improve medical devices. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Robotics Coach at Breck School, mentoring high school students in building robots for competitions. Alec also has experience as an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer at Abbott and a Manufacturing/Process Development Engineer II at Minnetronix, Inc., where they worked on the commercialization of medical devices and utilized additive manufacturing technologies. Alec has also worked as a Prosthetics Researcher at the Morgridge Institute for Research and conducted biomechanics research as a Graduate Researcher at the McClain Student Athlete Performance Center. Alec has further experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and as the Chair of 3D Printing at the Grainger Engineering Design Innovation Laboratory. In addition, they have worked as a Mechanical Engineer intern at Delve and as an Apprentice at UW Health - Orthotics Lab.
Alec Hill received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017. Alec later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2017 to 2018. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Alec graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Mound Westonka High School in 2013.
