Asanka “AK” Kamburugamuwe

Asanka "AK" Kamburugamuwe is a highly qualified and experienced software developer and technology consultant. Asanka “AK” has a proven track record in software product development, software architecting for highly secure and scalable application development, as well as building high-performing offshore tech teams.

Kamburugamuwe began their career in 2003 as a Co-Founder and Operations Manager at Cadenza Micro Systems / Cadenza IT. In this role, they oversaw daily operational service product development teams, ensured effective communication was delivered, developed and implemented business processes and quality standards across multiple divisions of the business, and worked in partnership with QA leads and technical staff.

In 2007, they joined hSenid Business Solutions as a Software Engineer, where they designed, developed, coded, and tested applications through the full SDLC, recommended modifications to processes and procedures, and provided technical support and troubleshooting for new and existing systems.

In 2009, Kamburugamuwe moved to Empower Ltd. as a Professional Services Engineer. In 2011, they joined permanent tsb as a Senior Software Developer.

Kamburugamuwe is currently Co-Founder at Perituza Foundation, a role they have held since 2012. Asanka “AK” is also President and Chief Software Developer at Perituza Software Solutions, where they are outcome-driven entrepreneur and technology consultant.

Asanka “AK” Kamburugamuwe received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from SLIIT in 2006, having started their studies in 2002. Asanka “AK” then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Management at SLIIT in 2007.
