Emma Villalon-Iglesias

Folklife Assistant at Perkins Center for the Arts

Emma Villalon-Iglesias is an experienced program coordinator at Perkins Folklife Center, with a diverse background in education and tutoring. Since November 2021, Emma has taken on multiple roles at Perkins, including Folklife Program Assistant and Interim Education Assistant and Camp Manager. Emma also works as a personal tutor at Best In Class and previously served as a Writing Center Tutor and Student Coordinator at Goucher College, where expertise in tutoring practices, citation clarification, and online session coordination was developed. In addition to teaching creative art classes during summer camps and managing residential life, Emma has contributed to various administrative roles and has a strong educational foundation, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Goucher College.
