Vern Cole

Vern Cole has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Vern started their career in 1989 as a U.S Naval Officer in the Submarine Force, where they served in various roles and completed tours of duty on fast attack and ballistic missile submarines. In 2000, Vern joined Guardent as a Principal Consultant, where they worked until 2004. Vern then moved on to VeriSign as the Director of Western Region Consulting until 2007. From 2007 to 2011, Vern served as the Chief Security Officer at Varolii, where they established an information protection program and oversaw various security initiatives. In 2011, Vern joined Perkins Coie LLP as a Security Architect, and later took on the role of Information Security Officer. Their most recent position at the company is Senior Director of Security, Infrastructure & Governance, a role they have held since 2023.

Vern Cole earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, completing their education in the period between 1985-1989.
